WEEKEND DETAILS: We will meet at the front of Drummond Island Tourism Association Office ***9AM on SATURDAY*** , off-road and travel throughout the day, checkout awesome spots like marblehead, then end our day camping on shale beach. Sunday there are no plans, you are free to roam the island and do your own thing! We will probably grab breakfast on the island on sunday before we head home, you are welcome to join us! They have amazing breakfast pasties!
IMPORTANT: Camping will be only Saturday night on shale beach. The beach is very rocky, there is some flat ground, but plan accordingly. *You are responsible for your own ferry ride and fair to get onto the island.
VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum Tire Size is 33" - Aftermarket recovery points are required, stock recovery points do not count (We are strict about this, you will not be allowed to join our group unless you have "recovery" rated points front and rear, this is liability purposes). - Prepare your vehicle for deep water crossings and lots of mud - Air up/down equipment for your tires - Winch is highly recommended
**IMPORTANT:
DEEP WATER CROSSINGS WILL HAPPEN. We are doing this trip during the middle of spring and there will be TONS of mud and water. Please make sure your vehicle is properly prepared for rock crawling, deep water crossings, etc.
New Holland overland is not responsible for any vehicle damage that may occur during this trip.
*TRAILERS ARE NOT ALLOWED FOR THIS TRIP
COMMS: It is recommended that you set yourself up with a GMRS Radio as that is how we handle all of our trail communications.
GMRS Frequency: 16
*Vehicle requirements are put into place for the safety of those on the trail, and also allowing the trail team to move at a reasonable pace. We do not allow vehicles with standard highway tires on this trail ride since those tires do not give the performance needed for off-roading/overlanding. If you have any questions or concerns about these vehicle requirements please message us.
